Buffalo, New York, 1949. The Pfohl brothers went into the sand and gravel business, and never got out. Their company came south to the Research Triangle in 1985, and today the third generation runs quarries, batch plants, asphalt lines, and contracting crews from Raleigh to Ontario.
When one company controls every step from bedrock to blacktop, schedules hold and specs pass. Do the work right, and the work keeps coming.
